Technical SEO
Technical SEO is the work of making sure a search engine can reach, read and correctly index a site.
Also known as: technical search optimisation · crawlability
It is not about content. It is about whether the page is reachable, whether it returns the right status code, whether the canonical address is declared, whether the same content exists at two addresses, whether the sitemap is honest, and how fast the page is.
On 3D and JavaScript-heavy sites it is decisive, because the content the crawler sees can be far less than what the visitor sees. If the text only exists after the scene runs, the page is effectively empty to a search engine.
How it looked in our work
iltay.org.tr ranks first for its target searches with almost no inbound links — the structure and the technical setup are the reason.
Common questions
Is technical SEO a one-off job?
The setup is; keeping it correct is not. Every new section can introduce a duplicate address or a broken canonical.
Is speed part of it?
Yes — see Core Web Vitals.
